19TH C OAK LETTER BOX

A 19th Century Oak Country House Letter Box. The slightly domed top, over a frieze mounted with a brass posting slot titled 'LETTERS' and an opening panel with a card 'Collection 4pm. For parcels ask Buxworth'. The hinged door with a glazed window. The whole on a small chamfered base. Complete with original lock and key. Height 14 inches, width 8 1/2 inches, depth 6 1/2 inches. Date c 1870.
