A pair of 19^th c pistols. Each with a long octagonal, sighted, and smooth bore barrel. The barrel’s proof marked, and engraved ‘Manchester’. The mechanisms with good scrolling leaf decoration the plates engraved ‘Conway’. The trigger guards likewise engraved decoration and a pineapple finial end. The walnut stock housing a ramrod, the butts with fine hatched grips, the butt ends with sun burst covers. Date c 1840. Height 6 inches, Width 14 inches, Depth 2 inches.
