A bronze sun dial, the circular plate with a Roman numeral chapter ring, an inner ring with points of the compass, and star-burst centre. The gnomon - pointer - with an "S" scroll support. Inscription reading "So Fly Life Awaye".

Very good green patination.

Dated, in Roman numerals, 1704.
