A pair of 18th C carved Herm figures, counterfacing, the man with wavy hair and beard, arm across chest and body half draped in cloth with swags of fruit, the lady with upswept hair and serpent, arm across chest, and also having draped clothing with swags of fruit. Both figures in typical herm form, with upper torso above a square column or lower section.

H: female 10 1/2" male 10 3/4" W: of base,3 1/2" D: of base, 2" c1780
