An Early 19th Century Double Barrel Percussion Pistol. The percussion pistol with darted leaf decoration to the muzzles and attractive scrolled leaf engraving to the mechanism end of the barrels. The barrel rotating to allow two shots. The mechanism well engraved with scrolling leaves and musical trophies. The trigger guard likewise engraved. The mechanism with a slide safety, before the ebony finely hatched butt, finished with darted leaves, as per the muzzle. The mechanism engraved for the maker 'MERRY'. Height 4 1/2 inches, 12cm. Width 7 inches, 18cm. Depth 3/4 inch, 2cm. Date c 1830.
