A Large 19th Century Gilt Brass Telescope by Broadhurst Clarkson, 63 Faringdon Road, London EC. The Telescope with a long barrel, with a reeded object end rim. The barrel with an adjusting/focus screw, altering the drawer and optic end. The telescope mounted on an adjustable mahogany tripod base, finished with brass cone feet. Telescope: Height 3 1/2 inches, 9cm. Width 3 1/2 inches, 9cm. Length 46 inches, 117cm. Maximum length of tripod and brass stand 67 3/4 inches, 172cm. Date c 1870.Ref: 21892
