LARGE REGENCY PAPIER MACHE TRAY

A Good Large Regency Rectangular Papier Mache Tray, the rim with rounded corners, straight sides and out flared frieze. The surface of the tray very nicely decorated with Chinese people carrying baskets of foods, others entering and greeting at the doors of a garden house, and further figures preparing bowls of food. The whole scene set in a garden, with flowers, trees, grotto and rock outcrops. The decoration with gilt highlighting.
