A Pair of 19th Century Marble Vases, with Ormolu Mounts. The rim and collar with rope twist and hatched banding, surrounding the outswept neck, over the classical ovoid body, tapering into a rising and scrolling leaf cup, finished with a circular medallion foot. The vases each with a pair of handles, the long swan necks rising from leaf brackets, to finish with heads clasping the rim. The vases on square stepped plinths, with facings of a pair of swans feeding a a vase. The plinths raised up on rope twist circular feet. Date circa 1830. Height 16 1/2 inches, 42cm.
