A Pair of 19th C Marble Vases. The pair of marble vases with lift off covers, the covers with finials in the form of flower buds bursting into seed. The covers fitting within turned leaf collars, above a waisted neck, and rounded shoulders, the vases tapering toward a rounded base, resting on a ring and waisted socle, finished with a turned leaf rounded bottom, above the square plinths. The bodies mounted with pairs of rococo leaf handles, finished to the bottom with enveloping shells. Date c 1850. Height 16 1/2 inches, width 9 inches, depth 6 1/2 inches.Ref:
