PAIR OF REGENCY BOTTLE COASTERS

A Pair of Regency Bottle Coasters. The papier mache bottle or decanter coasters, each with a tall straight side decorated to the rim and foot with gilt bands, enclosing a chinoiserie scene of tea houses set in an oriental garden, the scenes within folding leaf and flower borders. The undersides with remenants of the baize. Date circa 1820. Height 2 inches, 5cm. Diameter 5 1/2 inches, 14cm.
