A Substantial Early 19th Century Double Barrel Pistol. The two substantial barrels over a brass tipped ram rod, fitting within brass ram rod pipes. The walnut stock, with steel mechanism, and slide safeties to each cocking side. The mechanism engraved for the maker 'KNUBLEY' to each side, and likewise to the barrel gutter, 'KNUBLEY LONDON'. The two triggers within a shaped and spooned brass trigger guard. The grip with fine hatching. Date circa 1830. Height 5 inches, 13cm. Width 14 1/2 inches, 37cm. Depth 2 3/4 inches, 7cm.
