A 19th Century Silver Caddy. The silver caddy with an orb finial, above the cover spreading in convex and concave profile to the rim. The cover decorated with two bands of falling leaves. The caddy of vase shape, the reeded rim, finished with hanging leaves, over a laurel swagged body, the laurel swag hanging from flower head paterae and busts of classical man and maiden. The caddy held within rising leaves, above the circular stepped foot. Hallmarked for John & Frank Pairpoint, London 1895. Height 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Diameter 3 1/2 inches, 9cm.
