Silver >> EARLY 19TH C SILVER WINE FUNNEL

A 19th Century Silver Wine Funnel.

The rim with a reeded top edge, surrounding the bowl, tapering to a flat centre, pierced for straining, the piercing in a petal head pattern, with circular piercing surround.  The centre element lifting out of the main body, which tapers in a rounded circular manner toward the stem, which has four raised reeds to allow escape of air.  The stem finished to the end with an off set beak spout.

Hallmarked for  Samuel Meriton, London 1813.

Height 5 3/4 inches, diameter 3 1/4 inches.
