An Early 19th Century Silver Gilt Bowl and Cover. The circular lid, domed in a concave ad convex profile, sweeping upward to a finial formed as a swan rising from her leafy nest. The cover with bands of beading, the rim with an egg and dart band of decoration. The body of the bowl with a broad band of reeding, tapering inward and downward to the socle, and thence circular foot, the edge of which is decorated with a band of egg and dart, as per the cover. The bowl mounted with a pair of acanthus and flower scrolled handles. Date c 1820. Height 6 inches, width 7 inches, depth 4 1/2 inches.
