An Early 18th Century Walnut Dressing Mirror. The mirror with acorn finials, above the tapering supports, with thumb nail moulds, the supports hold the mirror, hinging on dished brass screws. The plate within an ogee quarter cut moulding, finished with gilt leaf slips, and re-entrant corners. The body in two stepped stages, the feather banded drawers each with a brass engraved escutcheon, and knob handle, in front of the oak linings. The drawers surrounded by rounded quarter cut moulding, and the whole raised up on four bracket feet. Date circa 1730. Height 25 inches, 64cm. Width 16 1/2 inches, 42cm. Depth 8 inches, 20cm.
