A Pair of Bronze Candlesticks. The pair of aesthetic movement bronze candlesticks, each with a honeysuckle decorated vase shaped candle holder, resting on an orb from which emerge swans. The upper stems tapering outward in reeds to a chamfered collar, above the rose tree stem, finished to the bottom with a ringed collar, as per the upper stem, before spreading to a dome foot, decorated with hop leaves, surrounded by dished and reeded outer rim. The whole raised on square mould edge plinths, standing on lion paw feet. Height 12 inches, 30cm. Width 4 1/4 inches, 11cm. Depth 4 1/2 inches, 11cm. Date circa 1880.Ref:
