An 18th Century Mahogany Cheese Coaster. The coaster with scrolled and turned ends, finished with bulls eye paterae, joining the crescent shaped sides, sweeping to a plinth base, with a cockbeaded edge. The body conforming curved shape, with a division to allow two sized of truckle. The hole raised up on four leather wheeled and brass castors. In very good and original condition. Date circa 1780. Height 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Width 17 inches, 44cm. Depth 10 inches, 26cm.Ref:
