A 19th Century Walnut Letter Box. The box of rectangular shape, with rounded corners and edges. The front with a glass window, above which is the inset mother of pearl engraved panel 'Letter to be posted'. The top with a hinged door, opening with a mother of pearl inlaid knob, beside the letter slot, and key escutcheon. Date c 1850. Height 6 inches, 15cm. Width 8 1/2 inches, 22cm.
