An Early 19th Century Walnut Spoon Rack and Candle Box. With an arcaded top, sweeping to rounded ends, the bowed profile repeated to the falling sides. The back board with two tiers of spoon rails, each to take six spoons. The lower body with a slope topped candle box, the lid hinged and finished with a rounded edge, repeated to the bottom edge. The whole in an attractive colour and patination. Height 23 1/2 inches, 59cm. Width 12 1/2 inches, 32cm. Depth 6 1/4 inches, 16cm. Date circa 1800.Ref:
