19th Century Leather Writing Box. The writing box/slope in red Moroccan leather with gilt tooling. The lid with an inset brass handle, the facing body with a gilt key hole escutcheon. The box hinging open to form a writing slope, in black Moroccan leather, with gilt tooling. The writing surfaces hinged to allow access to compartments behind the slope finished with stationery divisions, and a glass, brass lidded ink bottle.
