A Large Mid 19th Century Lignum Vitae String Box, the lid unscrewing and with a slightly domed shape, with ring turned decoration and a spout finial detail for the string hole.
The cylinddrical body with a screw off base, with concave edging.

Very well variagated graining, good patination and good condition.
