A 19th Century Pollard Oak Document Box. The box with a canted hinged lid, decorated with lancet fielded panels, the panels filled with burr oak. the edges of the lid with a concave mould. The body of the box with a lancet front panel, likewise filled with burr oak. The sides mounted with a pair of brass carrying handles. The interior lined in blue paper, with a lift out tray. Complete with lock and key. Date c 1840. Height 7 1/2 inches, width 16 inches, depth 12 inches.Ref:
