An 18th Century Bronze Lion. The beast depicting lying down, as he looks over his right quarter. His extravagant mane folding over his face and neck. His front legs folded under his head, and his long tail folding over his rear quarters. He has a quizzical, anthropomorphic expression on his face. A good patination. Height 2 1/4 inches, 5.5cm. Width 4 inches, 10cm. Depth 2 1/4 inches, 6cm. Date c 1740.Ref:
