19TH BRONZE OF ROUSSEAU

A 19th Century bronze figure of Rousseau, the philosopher, standing wearing a long frock coat, waistcoat and ruffed collar, holding his tri-corn hat under one arm and a treatise in his other hand. The figure with knickerbockers, stockings and buckle shoes mounted on a square plinth base impressed to the rear with casting mark for "A. Arems."

Good brown patination.
