19TH C BRONZE 'THE DANCING FAUN'

A 19th Century Bronze Figure of 'The Dancing Faun'. The faun, with waved hair held by a flower decorated band, as he looks upward, with arms raised in dance. The figure on a square plinth base, with a stepped lower rim. After the original excavated at Pompeii and now in the Museo Nazionale, Naples. Height 17 1/2 inches, 44cm. Width 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Depth 6 1/2 inches, 16cm. Date circa 1850.
