A 19th Century Bronze Vase. The Borghese vase with a gadrooned outward swept rim, the underside of the rim with flowing vine leaves and grapes above a cast scene of an Apollo and Dionysus, in Bacchanalian revelry. The vase with pairs of mask and vine stem handles, above a reeded cup, tapering to the leaf and gadrooned socle, above a fluted circular foot, finished with a rounded rim, the whole on a square plinth. Date circa 1840. Height 8 1/2 inches, 22cm. Width 6 1/2 inches, 17cm. Depth 6 1/4 inches, 16cm.Ref:
