A 19th Century Bronze of Narcissus. He wears a goat skin slung over his left shoulder, a pair of classical sandals, and his hair is gathered in a grape and vine band. He is captured glimpsing his reflection in a pool. He stands on a circular base, with two bands of stiff leaf decoration to the rims. The base inscribed 'Fria Amodio, Napoli'. After the original figure found at Pompeii, and now in the Musee Nationale, Naples. Date c 1870. Height 24 inches, width 11 inches, depth 9 inches.
