19TH C LIONS PAW DOOR PORTER

A 19th Century Brass Door Stop, Door Porter. The door porter with scrolling leaves, rising to meet the rope twist centre of the loop handle. The long shank decorated with rising leaves, joining to the hairy ankles of the lions paw base. The reverse interior with conforming cast iron loading. Height 14 3/4 inches, 37cm. Width 4 inches, 10cm. Depth 3 1/2 inches, 9cm. Date circa 1840.
