A 19th Century Brass Door Stop, Door Porter. The loop handle cast with rising leaves, surrounding a rope twist top. The shank in the form of stalks of corn, gathered by a twisting band of corn ears. The base formed as a sheaf of corn, gathered with tied corn stalks, resting on a rope twist round base, with a small chamfered plinth. The rear with lead loading. Date c 1850. Height 16 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 2 inches.Ref: 20976
