A Pair of 18th Century Gilt Bronze Candlesticks. Each with a lift out circular drip pan, edged with enclosed beading. The drip pans fitting within the reeded outward swept rims of the octagonal candle holders, within rising leaf cups, over an octagonal waisted and stepped socles. The 'square balusters' decorated to each corner with rising and scrolling leaves, enclosing shells, classical masks, above tapering panels, decorated with motifs of music and the arts. The lower stems with scrolled corners, over a draped knop, sweeping into domed foot, tapering outward and downward to the octagonal, rounded and stepped bases, decorated with flowers and leaves, and musical motifs, meeting classical masks to the corners.
