The Pair of 19th century Bronze and Ormolou Cassoulettes, each with a lift off cover. The covers with a flower bud finial, sitting within outward spreading leaves, emerging from a rope twist banded concave stem, from which fall leaves enclosing the domed cover, fitting within a rope twist, and flowing leaf decorated rim. The covers inverting to allow the use of candles, being concave candle holders, with rope twist banding. The bodies of classical vase shape, with rams head masks holding chain swags, between further rams heads, tapering into harebell pendants, within the chased legs, falling to rising leaves, over the rams foot feet. The vase finished with enclosing leaves, emerging from the central stem, as per the covers. The Cassoulettes standing on circular bases, centred by petals, surrounded by chased banding, and thence stepped and rope twist edging, over the lattice banded plinth bases. The whole of excellent quality condition, and patination. Height 9 3/4 inches, 25cm. Diameter 4 inches, 10cm. Circa 1830.
