PAIR OF 19TH C LION DOOR STOPS

A Pair of 19th Century Door Stops, Door Porters. Each door stop a recumbent lion with an extravagant mane, looking over his shoulder toward one, his front paws crossed and his tail drawn up beside his rear haunches. The whole on an oval base, with a concave fluted edge. Date circa 1850. Height 6 1/4 inches, 16cm. Width 8 1/4 inches, 21cm. Depth 4 inches, 10cm.
