A Pair of 19th Century Tole Vases. Each vase with a rounded rim, above the square section bodies, tapering in a gentle concave to four lion paw feet, raising the vases off the square plinths. The vases decorated with classical scenes of Eros and Aphrodite. The sides with scenes of Plinys Doves feeding and watering the scenes between a top banding of dove filled ovals, surrounded by emerging leaves. The lower corners covered by rising leaves. Date circa 1830. Height 11 inches, 28cm. Width 6 1/4 inches, 16cm. Depth 6 1/4 inches, 16cm.Ref:
