A Pair of Regency Candlesticks. The pair of bronze and ormolu candlesticks, in the form of cherubs, holding aloft entwined vines, rising to bunches of grapes and vine leaves. The centres of which are the candle holders. The cherubs ride crocodiles, their mouths open, their legs walking forward, as their tails twist beneath them. Date c 1810. Height 8 1/2 inches, width 4 inches, depth 6 inches.Ref: 21447
