A Pair of Early 19th Century Tole Vases. The vases each with a square outward chamfered rim, over the conforming baluster body, tapering into a chamfered knop stem, sweeping in a concave profile, to meet the square plinth. The vases decorated to simulate tortoise shell and gilt lacquer with flowers, buds and leaves. Complete with the original lift out liners. Date circa 1820. Height 10 1/4 inches, 26cm.
