A Pair of George III Burnished Steel Fire Dogs. Each with a classical vase finial, above a baluster stem, meeting a ring paterae, joining the outward swept legs, finished with ringed and splay feet, with circular pad toes. the tool rests of shaped and tapered profile, running backward to join the flat rear legs. Date circa 1780. Height 12 inches, 30cm. Width 7 inches, 18cm. Depth 8 inches, 20cm.
