A Regency Bronze Vase and Cover. The domed cover with a top in the form of the young cupid, holding a quiver of arrows, as he shares a secret. The cover with lappet rim, fitting within the gadrooned rim of the vase, formed as a classical brazier. The rim divided by lion masks, flowing through the tapering reeds of the bowl, to lions paw feet, standing on a re-entrant sided triangular base. The interior of the bowl with a lift out lead liner. Date circa 1800. Height 7 inches,17cm. Diameter 4 3/4 inches, 12cm.Ref:
