A Good Quality 19th Century Silver Plated Lamp Base. The lamp with a well defined Corinthian capital, above the reeded column, covered with a rising and spiralling garland of flowers. The column resting on a plinth, with a gadrooned and medallion decorated cap. The octagonal body sweeping in a concave profile, amongst garlands of flowers, to a square foot, with re-entrant corners, the upper mould decorated with classical leaves. Rewired and ready for use. Height to top of capital 18 1/2 inches, 47cm. Width 6 1/2 inches, 16.5cm. Depth 6 1/2 inches, 16.5cm. Date circa 1860.Ref: 22563
