A 19th Century Pocket Barometer. The gilt body with a ring loop, above the rotating cursor bezel, marking against an altitude ring, and a barometric pressure ring, the silvered dial with weather indications, and the makers name, 'J GOULD, OPTICIAN, BIRMINGHAM'. The whole within the velvet and silk lined Moroccan leather carrying case. Date circa 1880. Height 1 1/4 inches, 3cm. Width 3 inches, 7.5cm. Depth 2 1/2 inches, 6cm.Ref:
