A George III Mahogany Stick Barometer. The mahogany stick barometer with an architectural pediment, centred by a brass spire finial. The glazed door opening to the silvered dial, with a thermometer to the left, the tube with a sliding cursor to the centre and weather indication to the right. The dial engraved for the maker "M Woller, Birmingham." The door and body of the barometer edged in boxwood inlay, the body laid with rising venders surrounding the exposed tube. The tube finished with a circular cistern cover, inlaid with a wild rose. Height: 39", 99cm. Width: 5 3/4", 15cm. Depth: 2 3/4", 7cm. c.1800
