A George III Stick Barometer. The late 18th century mahogany stick barometer with a swan neck pediment, flanking a vase finial. The glazed door opening to the silvered dial. The dial with a subsidiary cursor gauge, weather indication, and the makers name, James Long, Royal Exchange, London. The body with a glazed and silvered thermometer, the body rounding to the ring decorated cistern cover. Height 39 1/2 inches, 100cm. Width 4 1/4 inches, 11cm. Depth 4 inches, 10cm. Date c 1800.
