An 18th Century Delft apothecary jar, the rim with a ring band above a tall tapering neck, and baluster body, with a waisted socle and circular foot. The body titled "Melissae" within a scrolled reserve, tppped with birds surrounded by blooms and flowers, the reserve border hung with floral drapery, and bottom centred by a satyr mask.
H 12 inches; diameter 6 1/2 inches.
