An 18th century Delft Apothecary Jar.
The rounded rim, above a cylindrical body, finished to the top and bottom with broader rounded bands. The body with a small waisted socle, and spreading foot.
The jar titled “E:SUCC:ROSAR†within a well painted surround topped by vase of flowers, flanked by a pair of Peacocks. The lower edge of the surround centred by a cherub, amongst flower swags, and draped harebells.
