A Delft Apothecary Jar. The 18th century Delft Apothecary Jar, with raised rim, above the orb body, mounted with a ring based spout. The body sweeping into stem, before the circular outward and downward foot. The Jar decorated with a scrolling reserve, as cherubs flank a basket of fruits, the lower edge of the reserve with a cherub mask amongst bunches of flowers. The reserve titled for the contents, “Syrup of Rosar Palli” (a rose hip syrup) Height 8 3/4 inches, 22cm. Width 7 3/4 inches, 19.5cm. Depth 6 inches, 15cm. Circa 1730
