18TH C DELFT CHARGER

An 18th Century Delft Charger. The rim decorated with reserves of tassels, amid a hatched and dotted background. The centre of the charger painted with aa scene of a planter, filled with extravagant flowers and berries, on which two birds, perching in the undergrowth, feed. The rear with a small foot rim. Date c1740. Height 2 inches, diameter 13 1/2 inches.
