18TH C DELFT MELON SHAPED VASE

An 18th Century Delft Melon Shaped Vase. The raised rim decorated with a scrolled dash motif over the shoulders with spreading flower and sprigs, rising from a lattice and flower banding. The body with butterflies and exotic birds amongst flowers and foliage, above a scrolled lower banding and slightly recessed domed foot. Date circa 1730. Height 9 3/4 inches, 25cm. Diameter 8 inches, 20cm.
