An 18th Century Delft Posset Pot. The posset or butter pot, with a lift off lid. The lid with a rounded finial handle, above the circular lid, with a down swept rim, fitting over the raised collar of the body. The cylindrical body mounted with a pair of handles. The cover decorated with a band of inward pointing flowers, within line borders. The body decorated with handing flowers and scrolling foliage. The handles with dash decoration. Date c 1730. Height 4 1/2 inches, 12cm. Width 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Depth 5 inches, 12cm.Ref: 21508
