An 18th Century Delft Vase, the raised collar above an octagonal baluster shaped body, tapering to a waisted base, spreading outward to the bottom. The body painted with a central scene of blossoming flowers amongst which insects flit. The scene held wihin a rising floral reserve, topped by a scrolled lattice and fish scale cartouche, finished with scrolling leaves. The sides painted with flowers emerging from the floral reserves, and the rear painted with more flowers around which insects fly. The base and foot painted with oriental leaves, between lattice panels. Date c 1740. Height 9 inches, width 5 3/4 inches, depth 4 3/4 inches.
