18TH C DELFT WINE JUG

An 18th century Delft Wine Jug. The tall outward tapered neck and handle, mounted with a pewter hinged cover, with thumb piece. The ovoid body, with unusual rounded wyvern twist shaping, tapering to a small foot rim. The jug painted with sprigs of flowers following the wyvern twist. The handle with dash decoration. Height, 9 inches, width, 6 inches, depth, 5 inches.
