An 18th Century Kraak Dish. The broad sloping rim painted with panels of rising sun flowers, with further panels of lanterns, prayer wheels, and leaves. The panels divided by a variety of circular waisted vases. The centre of the plate painted with a scene of an abundant garden, amongst which a bird feeds on berries. The rear of the dish decorated with an arrangement of spheres and vertical panels, surrounding the foot rim. Date c 1740. Height 2 inches, width 12 inches, depth 12 inches.Ref: 20774
